Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your download, installation, and use of the Cyluma application ("Application") and associated website. By downloading or using Cyluma, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cyluma on Apple-branded Mac computers that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Mac App Store Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).

2. Informational Telemetry & Hardware Disclaimer

Hardware Advisory: Cyluma provides real-time battery status visualizations and educational battery-care guidance. The application does not modify hardware firmware, rewrite system battery controllers, or override macOS safety cutoffs.

Battery health and degradation rates depend upon chemical aging, operating ambient temperatures, hardware age, and charging cycles. Cyluma does not guarantee that following its guidance will yield any specific battery longevity or prevent hardware failure. Always follow Apple's official hardware maintenance and charging specifications.

3. Purchases, Subscriptions & Refund Policy

All financial transactions, downloads, license validations, and refunds for Cyluma are processed exclusively by Apple Inc. through the Mac App Store.

  • Billing: Payments are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Refunds: Because payments are processed directly by Apple, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com in accordance with Apple's refund policies.

4. User Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the application.
  • Use the application in any manner that violates local, state, national, or international regulations.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CYLUMA IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE DOWNTIME, OR HARDWARE REPLACEMENT COSTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.

Apple, Mac, macOS, Apple Silicon, MagSafe, and Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Cyluma is an independent software application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
