Cyluma was built on a simple premise: utility software should be quiet, reliable, and completely private. We believe that your hardware metrics belong solely to you. Cyluma does not collect, store, transmit, or monetize your personal data.
1. Overview of Data Architecture
Cyluma is an offline, native macOS menu bar utility written entirely in Swift and SwiftUI. The application has no backend servers, no analytics infrastructure, and no remote databases. It operates 100% locally on your Mac.
2. Information Queried on Your Mac
To display real-time battery status and render the living floating biome, Cyluma queries macOS system power registers using public, unprivileged Apple IOKit and ProcessInfo APIs. This includes:
- Battery State: Current percentage, charging state, and remaining operating time.
- Battery Health: Design capacity, maximum capacity in mAh, and hardware cycle count.
- Power Flow: Instantaneous voltage, signed amperage, and battery pack temperature.
- System Energy Mode: Whether macOS Low Power Mode is currently active.
All hardware queries are held strictly in volatile application memory (RAM). Telemetry data is never written to log files, persistent databases, or transmitted over any network interface.
3. Zero Telemetry & Zero Network Requests
Cyluma does not include any third-party SDKs, tracking frameworks, crash reporting services, or advertising libraries. The binary contains zero network communication code. Your Mac's hardware statistics never leave your device.
4. Website Cookies & Tracking
The Cyluma promotional website (https://niteeshyadav.com/ or any Cyluma mirror) does not use cookies, tracking pixels, local storage trackers, or third-party web analytics. We do not track visitors across the web.
5. Application Preferences & Data Deletion
User preferences (such as your chosen visual theme, alert thresholds, and quiet hours) are stored locally on your device via standard macOS UserDefaults. Deleting the Cyluma application removes all application binaries and local state from your machine.
6. Children’s Privacy
Cyluma does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. The application is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store and is safe for all audiences.
7. Changes to This Policy
If our privacy practices change in a future release, this policy will be updated with a revised "Last Updated" date. Any future versions will continue to preserve the local, zero-telemetry architecture of the application.
